Martial Arts studio software, in short

Bookify Martial Arts at a glance

What is Bookify Martial Arts?
Bookify Martial Arts is martial arts software from Bookify for BJJ, karate, taekwondo, judo and Muay Thai schools. It runs class schedules, check-in and attendance, belts, stripes and rank tests, kids and family plans, tuition billing, waivers signed by parents, and coach pay in one place. Students and parents book from any phone, with nothing to download.
How much does Bookify Martial Arts cost?
There are two plans. Free costs $0 a month and charges 5% only on new clients that Bookify Martial Arts sends you. Pro costs $80 a month in US dollars, with no commission on any booking. Both include unlimited teachers and every feature: spot booking, waitlists, packs and memberships. There is no contract, and your members never pay a booking fee.
Does Bookify Martial Arts track belts and stripes?
Yes. Each belt has a colour, an order, a number of stripes and its own rules: classes since the last promotion, time in rank and a minimum age. Every check-in counts toward the next stripe, the Ready to test list fills itself, and every promotion is kept as history.
Can I try Bookify Martial Arts first?
Yes. Open the live demo as the owner or as a student, with no sign-up and nothing charged. Or start free: setup opens with martial arts rooms, classes, prices and policies already filled in, and your booking page works the moment you press Go live.

The buyer's checklist

Seven things that break in martial arts software. Fixed.

Spot booking, waitlists, penalties, packs and privates, pay, waivers and moving your members: the places studio software usually fails.

  1. Classes by belt and age

A white belt books the advanced class, and a 9-year-old ends up in Little Ninjas.

Set a minimum rank for any class type. "Blue belt and up" won't book for a white belt, with a sentence that says why. Kids plans only book kids classes.

    • Separate kids and adult mats
    • Parents book for every child on one account
    • Check-in shows each student's belt
  2. Attendance that counts toward promotion

Attendance on a clipboard and promotion decided by memory.

Every check-in counts toward the next stripe or belt. Each rank sets its own rules: classes since the last promotion, time in rank and a minimum age. The "Ready to test" list fills itself.

    • Progress ring on check-in and the student's account
    • Curriculum checklist per rank
    • Promote a rank or a stripe with a note
  3. Rank tests

Grading days run on paper, with test fees collected in cash.

A rank test is a class with candidates. Invite who's ready, let them register and pay the test fee, then mark each one passed or not. Passing records the new belt with the date.

    • Test fee as its own product
    • Candidates: invited, registered, passed
    • Every promotion kept as history
  4. Tuition, family plans and agreements

Family discounts worked out by hand, and multi-child bookings that break.

Monthly tuition with a commitment, kids twice a week, adult unlimited, and a family plan for up to four people in one home with one payer. Students can freeze for an injury without calling.

    • 6-month agreements with a 30-day notice
    • Free trial class locked to first-timers
    • Failed payments retried, then booking paused
  5. Coach pay and subs

Assistant coaches paid from a spreadsheet, and no one to cover the 12:00 class.

Pay coaches per class, hourly or per private. A coach asks for a sub, and coaches qualified for that class who are free get it first. Pay follows whoever taught.

    • Payroll CSV for Gusto, ADP or QuickBooks
    • Privates on a private pack
    • Members can be told who's covering
  6. Waivers, guardians and kids

Waivers signed by the child, or not at all.

The parent signs the waiver for each child before the first class. Parents see every child's classes, belt progress and bills from one account.

    • Check in by QR at the front desk
    • Injury notes on the coach's roster
    • "We missed you" emails instead of no-show fees
  7. Moving your members over

Switching usually means lost pack balances, retyped memberships and members billed twice in the cutover month.

Import from Mindbody, Arketa, Momence or a spreadsheet. You see the result before anything goes live: clients, active memberships, packs with credits left, duplicates and products to match. Belts and attendance come too, so nobody starts again at zero.

    • Pack balances keep their expiry dates
    • Memberships come in paused until your cutover date
    • Attendance history comes too, so milestones are right from day one

Policies

Fair rules, already set for a martial arts school.

Questions about Bookify

Bookify Martial Arts questions

See how booking, students, payments, teams, and locations work together for a martial arts school.

Martial Arts studios

Does Bookify Martial Arts track belts and stripes?

Yes. Each belt has a colour, an order, a number of stripes and its own rules: classes since the last promotion, time in rank and a minimum age. Every check-in counts toward the next stripe, the Ready to test list fills itself, and every promotion is kept as history.

How do I know who's ready to test?

The Ready to test list shows every student who meets the rules for their next rank. Invite them to a rank test, take the test fee and mark who passed.

Does attendance count toward promotion automatically?

Yes. Every check-in counts toward the next stripe or belt, and the student's progress ring updates.

Can a family share one plan?

Yes. A family plan covers up to four people in one home with one payer. Parents book for each child from their own account.

Can I stop white belts booking advanced classes?

Yes. Give a class type a minimum rank. Students below it can't book, and they see why.

Do I have to charge no-show fees?

No. The martial arts preset has no late-cancel or no-show fees. Students who miss class get a "we missed you" email instead.

Which martial arts does it work for?

Any style that teaches classes and promotes by rank: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, karate, taekwondo, judo, kung fu, Muay Thai and kickboxing. You name the belts, colours, stripes and rules.

Do my students need to download an app?

No. Students book, pay, check in and manage their plan from your booking page in any phone browser. Your website can show the live schedule with a small embed.

How do payments work?

Payments run on Stripe, into your own account. Students save a card once. Renewals, late-cancel fees and no-show fees are charged to it, and a failed payment is retried and shown as owed with a pay link.

Can I move from Mindbody without losing pack balances?

Yes. Import your Mindbody clients, remaining class credits, active memberships and attendance. You see a preview of every number first, and memberships come in paused until the day you switch, so no one is billed twice.

Is there a contract?

No. Start on the free plan, or pay $80 a month for Pro, month to month. Cancel any time.

Getting started

Can I try Bookify before moving my martial arts school over?

Yes. You can start for free and build a real booking flow before deciding how much of the business you want to bring into Bookify.

No. Bookify works in a modern browser on phones, tablets, and computers.

Booking and clients

Can students book online without contacting us?

Yes. They can choose a class, see real availability, and book from your public booking page.

Can we keep forms, notes, files, and bookings together?

Yes. Each student has one connected profile for appointments, forms, notes, messages, files, and payment history.

Payments and growth

Can we require deposits or collect payment online?

Yes. You can set deposit rules, accept online payments, record in-person payments, and keep receipts with the booking.

Does Bookify support packages, memberships, and gift cards?

Yes. Use the options that fit your business and leave the rest turned off.

Teams and locations

Can each coach have different hours and services?

Yes. Set individual availability, services, locations, and permissions for each team member.

Can one account manage more than one location?

Yes. Teams, services, schedules, and reporting can stay connected across locations.
