Formula and method
Ten wins, six losses and four ties with half-credit per tie produce (10 + 4 × 0.5) / 20 = 60%.
Winning fraction = (wins + ties × tie credit) / (wins + losses + ties)

Assumptions and limitations
- Wins, losses, ties and total games are nonnegative whole counts, with at least one completed game.
- A tie contributes the chosen fraction of a win while remaining included in total games. Half-credit is the default.
- This is the displayed fraction-of-games model. Leagues using standings points, overtime-loss points, excluded ties or special tiebreakers may use another rule.
- Enter a consistent record for one team and one period. The result summarizes the record; it does not predict future wins.
Common questions
Does setting tie credit to zero remove ties from the denominator?
No. Tied games still count in total games; they simply add no win credit. A league that excludes ties needs a different denominator.

Bookify requires whole game counts and limits tie credit and the resulting fraction to zero through one.
