How to use this calculator
- Enter the known values in the units shown. Results update as you type.
- Where results are editable, change one to solve backwards. Lock a value to hold it fixed.
- Use the worked example to check the method. Reset restores the starting fields.

Formula and method
13.85 s hurdles, 182 cm high jump, 17.07 m shot put, 23.80 s for 200 m, 648 cm long jump, 57.18 m javelin and 2:07.63 for 800 m score 7004 points with these official coefficients.
Track points = floor(A × max(B − adjusted seconds, 0)^C); field points = floor(A × max(performance − B, 0)^C); total is the seven-event sum.

Assumptions and limitations
- Use the official combined-event coefficients and the field-unit convention for each event. Applicable hand-timed sprint/hurdle inputs receive 0.24 seconds before scoring. Fractional event points are discarded before summing. This is combined-event scoring, separate from the 2025 standalone athletics comparison tables, and does not establish competition eligibility, ratification or fully automatic timing. Exact-floor point arguments must be finite and below 10^50 in magnitude.
- Clear an unknown before solving an available inverse branch, and lock independent known values when comparing measurements. Use compatible units; a one-way score or lookup does not supply an inverse.
Common questions
What does this result represent?
Use the official combined-event coefficients and the field-unit convention for each event.
Can I work backward from an answer?
Where the captured equation supplies an inverse, clear the unknown and enter independent known values. Rounded scores, one-way outputs and fixed lookup choices do not uniquely recover inputs.

Use exact decimal floors for combined-event points, avoiding rounded-up point counts just below an integer boundary. Timed events require positive elapsed time; whole points discard fractional parts before totals.
