Use the result with context

Results are estimates for planning and education. Confirm rates, taxes, fees, and legal requirements with the relevant institution or a qualified professional before making a financial decision.

Formula and method

A property priced at 300,000 with 100 m² of floor space costs 3,000 per m². Two more property sections let you compare like-for-like prices and areas.

Price per area = property price or rent ÷ floor area

Property 3 price / rent

Assumptions and limitations

  • Each floor area must be positive. Choose matching area definitions, such as internal usable space, when comparing properties.
  • Compare purchase prices with purchase prices or rents covering the same period. This does not adjust for location, condition, lease terms, taxes or shared areas.
  • A unit price is an arithmetic comparison, not a valuation. Currency conversions use the captured reference table shown on the page rather than a live exchange quote.

Common questions

Can I compare square feet with square meters?

Yes. Each property has its own area-unit selection and its output has an area denominator. Display all unit prices in the same denominator before comparing them.

How do I reveal the third property?

Enable the second-property comparison, then enable the third. Each section computes independently from that property’s price and area.
