How to use this calculator
- Enter the known values in the units shown. Results update as you type.

- Use the worked example to check the method. Reset restores the starting fields.
Use the result with context
Results are estimates for planning and education. Confirm rates, taxes, fees, and legal requirements with the relevant institution or a qualified professional before making a financial decision.
Formula and method
80 occupied rooms out of 100 available rooms give daily occupancy of 80%.
Occupancy (%) = 100 × occupied room-nights / (days × rooms − unavailable room-nights).
Worked example
Enter these known values and leave the other values blank.
- Rooms occupied (in a day)

- Rooms in maintenance/unavailable
- 0
- Daily rate
- 80 %
Assumptions and limitations
- Daily mode uses one day. Monthly mode always uses 30 days; use custom mode for an actual calendar month with a different length.
- For multiple days, maintenance input is unavailable room-nights, not merely the number of distinct rooms. Counts are whole and occupied capacity cannot exceed available capacity.
- Enter all money amounts in one currency. The retained currency conversion menu uses captured historical conversion factors, not current exchange quotes.
- Clear an unknown editable field before solving an inverse; fixed selections and output-only fields cannot be inferred.
