Formula and method
Monthly rent of 2,000 corresponds to annual rent of 24,000. Half a month is 1,000, one month is 2,000 and one and a half months is 3,000. A fee equal to 10% of annual rent is 2,400.
Annual rent = monthly rent × 12; percentage-based fee = annual rent × entered percentage

Assumptions and limitations
- Assumes the same rent for all 12 months. These are alternative fee bases to compare, not amounts to add together.
- Use the fee terms in the relevant agreement. This calculator does not prescribe a market rate or determine which fees are legally permitted. The captured model requires positive rent and a positive custom fee percentage. Taxes, concessions and additional charges are excluded.
