How to play Minesweeper
Numbers tell you how many mines touch a square, including diagonally. Open every safe square to win. The original board has 14 columns, 10 rows and 22 mines. Right-click or press F to place a flag.
- Open a square. Your first opening and its neighbours are safe.
- Use the numbers to find safe squares. Right-click or press F to mark a mine.
- Open every square that does not contain a mine.
Keyboard & mouse controls
Hover moves the cursor, LEFT does what SPACE does, RIGHT flags

- Play the selected move, or resume
- N / P
- New game / pause
- H / Tab
- Help and settings / choose a game

Press P to pause. Your current game is kept in this browser tab’s session; your best score is stored on this device. Clearing browser data removes saved progress.

The game engine and board drawings come from Nickelbar by Cob Muddybug, adapted to run in a browser. MIT licence and credit.
