How to play Hitori
Shade squares so no unshaded number repeats in any row or column. Shaded squares cannot share an edge, and all unshaded squares must stay connected. Play with the original Nickelbar rules and board drawings. Help below the game lists its keyboard and mouse shortcuts. Your current game stays in this browser tab.
- Click or press Space to shade a square.
- Right-click or press C to circle a square you want to keep.
- Resolve every repeated number while keeping one connected white area.
