Formula and method
At 40 hours per week, 30 per hour gives 1,200 weekly, 2,400 every two weeks, 5,200 per average month and 62,400 per modeled year.
Annual pay = hourly pay × weekly hours × 52; average monthly pay = annual pay ÷ 12; two-week pay = weekly pay × 2

Assumptions and limitations
- The annual model has exactly 52 working weeks. Monthly amounts are annual amounts divided by twelve; they are averages rather than a calendar payroll schedule. No taxes, benefits, bonuses, unpaid leave or overtime premiums are inferred.
- Daily pay divides weekly pay by five. This fixed five-day assumption is not an editable days-per-week schedule. A two-week period is different from half a calendar month.
- Working hours per week must be positive; pay can be zero. Hours start locked at 40 and can be changed to your schedule. The minute and second fields divide the hourly rate by 60 and 3,600.
- Use a consistent currency when comparing amounts. Optional currency conversions use captured reference factors, not live exchange rates, bank quotes or fees.
Common questions
Is biweekly pay the same as twice-monthly pay?
No. This tool’s two-week amount is weekly pay times two. A 52-week year contains 26 such periods, while twice-monthly payroll has 24 periods.
Can I start with an annual salary?
Yes. Enter annual pay and your weekly working hours, leaving hourly pay blank. The model divides annual pay by 52 times the weekly hours.
