Results are estimates for planning and education. Confirm rates, taxes, fees, and legal requirements with the relevant institution or a qualified professional before making a financial decision.

Formula and method

The February 2024 example has 21 working days and 12 paid days. Prorating a monthly salary of 2,100 gives 1,200 in the same currency.

Paid days = worked + qualifying holidays + approved leave; prorated salary = monthly salaryĂ—paid days/calendar working days, when paid days do not exceed available working days.

Assumptions and limitations

  • Choose a full Gregorian year from 1900 to 9999 and a civil month. Off-day selections determine the available calendar working days; duplicate off-days are retained as a warning.
  • The model adds entered worked days, qualifying holidays and approved leave. A count above the month’s working days returns zero and displays the captured excess-days warning.
  • This is a simple allocation model, not jurisdiction-specific payroll law. Overtime, hourly schedules, partial days, statutory leave definitions and payroll rounding rules are excluded.
  • Keep monetary inputs in one currency. Currency conversion factors are a captured snapshot rather than current quotes.
  • These formulas calculate results from entered inputs; a missing input can prevent a result.
