Assumptions and limitations

  • The initial quantity unit is acre; choose other retained units as needed. Quantities are positive, and entered prices can be zero.
  • Compare prices in the same currency. Currency selectors change labels; they do not retrieve exchange rates.
  • The comparison uses price per area, not the total bill. The difference shown is per unit, not total purchase savings.
  • The calculation does not assess quality, suitability, taxes, delivery charges or market value unless already included in your inputs.

Common questions

Does the lower unit price mean the lower bill?

No. A larger quantity can cost more in total while having a lower price per unit.

Can I work backward from a unit price?

Yes. Enter unit price and quantity to recover total price, or unit price and total price to recover quantity when the unit price is positive.

References

Bookify includes zero-priced quantities while keeping quantity positive. The international acre is exactly 43560 square international feet; Bookify replaces the rounded captured area factor.
