Formula and method
At 30 per hour for 40 hours over five days each week, gross pay is 240 per day, 1,200 per week, 5,200 per average month and 62,400 per 52-week year.
Weekly pay = hourly pay × weekly hours; annual = weekly × 52; monthly = annual ÷ 12; daily = weekly ÷ working days

Assumptions and limitations
- The model uses exactly 52 identical paid weeks. Monthly pay is one twelfth of the annual amount, not the amount on a specific paycheck.
- All values must be positive. Hours and working days start at 40 and 5 with locks enabled; edit them directly or unlock and clear them to solve for a schedule.
- Daily pay assumes the weekly hours are shared evenly across the entered working days. Taxes, overtime premiums, bonuses and unpaid leave are excluded.
- Use consistent currencies. Optional currency conversions use the captured source rates, not live market rates.
Common questions
Why is monthly pay more than four weekly payments?
A 52-week year divided into twelve months averages 4⅓ weeks per month. Four weeks times twelve would account for only 48 weeks.
Can I convert a salary back to hourly pay?
Yes. Enter annual pay and the paid weekly hours, leaving hourly pay blank. At 62,400 and 40 hours for 52 weeks, the hourly equivalent is 30.
