Formula and method
At 4 currency units per 1,000 eligible views and 100,000 views per day, eligible ad revenue is 400 per day and a 55% creator share is 220 per day.
Eligible ad revenue = rate × eligible views / 1,000; creator share = 55% × eligible ad revenue

Assumptions and limitations
- The entered rate is before the creator/platform split. YouTube Studio RPM is already after YouTube’s share, so it must not be entered as this pre-share rate.
- The retained 55% model applies to eligible Watch Page advertising net revenue under the applicable monetization module. It does not model Shorts, memberships, Premium, music-sharing arrangements or all monetization programs.
- Use eligible ad views with a rate defined on the same view basis. Total video views, monetized playbacks and ad impressions can differ.
- Currency amounts are rates over the selected time period. Matching the view and revenue periods makes a daily, weekly or other-period estimate; yearly and monthly conversions use fixed-duration units.
- Actual proceeds depend on eligible revenue and contract terms. This arithmetic scenario does not forecast ad prices or guaranteed earnings.
- Currency conversions use the captured October 7, 2026 exchange-rate snapshot rather than live rates. Keep one currency when comparing amounts.
- Arithmetic uses 64 significant decimal digits, with separate rounding for displayed values.
Common questions
Can I enter YouTube Studio RPM?
Studio RPM already includes the revenue-share deduction. This model takes a pre-share eligible ad-revenue rate; entering Studio RPM would deduct the split a second time.
