Can I open a shapefile ZIP without installing GIS software?

Choose a ZIP containing SHP and related DBF, PRJ and CPG files, then select a layer. The tool validates record alignment and transforms supported projections to WGS84 for the map and GeoJSON export. Missing projection files require an explicit longitude/latitude assumption. Unsupported encodings, deleted records and unknown projections are reported before conversion.

What are the limits and details?

All processing stays on this device. The bundled country outlines are a small-scale reference with no street detail. Coordinates use longitude, latitude order. Local files preserve your work; automatic cloud storage is not included.

Limits: 20 MB ZIP, 50 MB expanded, 10 layers, 2,000 records and 40,000 coordinates per layer.
