Formula and method
90 minutes equals 1.5 hours, 5,400 seconds or 0.0625 fixed days. In hours/minutes/seconds, the same duration is 1:30:0.
Hours = minutes ÷ 60; seconds = minutes × 60

Assumptions and limitations
- A year means exactly 365.25 days (31,557,600 seconds) in this model. A month is one twelfth of that year: 30.4375 days or 2,629,800 seconds. These fixed durations do not count actual calendar months or anniversaries.
- A day is 24 hours, an hour is 60 minutes and a minute is 60 seconds. This arithmetic does not account for daylight-saving transitions, leap seconds or a named time zone.
- Compound time fields use colons between the displayed components. For example, 1:30:0 in hours/minutes/seconds is 1.5 hours, not 1.30 decimal hours. Use the selected unit to interpret the components.
- This model accepts positive durations. The million-year option means one million of the fixed 365.25-day years defined here.
Common questions
How do decimal minutes differ from minutes and seconds?
A decimal fraction of a minute is multiplied by sixty to get seconds. For example, 1.5 minutes means one minute thirty seconds.
Can I find the date 90 minutes from now?
This converter does not read a clock or calculate dates. It only expresses an entered duration in different units.
