Formula and method
90 minutes equals 1.5 hours or 5,400 seconds. In addition mode, 1:30:00 plus 2:15:00 plus 0:45:00 totals 4:30:00.
1 minute = 60 seconds; 1 hour = 60 minutes; selected sum = entries 1 through N

Assumptions and limitations
- Conversion mode represents one elapsed duration in several units. Addition mode uses the first N entries, where N is the selected count from two through ten.
- Unlike the twenty-entry total tools, reducing N selects a shorter sum. Higher entries are retained for later use but are hidden and excluded from the displayed total.
- Months and years are fixed-duration unit equivalents from the captured model, not calendar intervals. They do not account for differing month lengths, leap dates or time zones.
- Use hours:minutes:seconds in compound fields. A leading minus sign applies to the whole duration. Signed durations and zero totals are supported.
Common questions
Why are later entries excluded when I reduce the count?
Each selected total covers exactly the first N entries. Raising the count again restores the retained later entries to the displayed total.
