Formula and method
Divide absent employee-days by employees multiplied by scheduled workdays, then multiply by 100. Ten absent days across 20 employees and 20 workdays represent 2.5% of scheduled employee-days.
Absence (%) = absent employee-days ÷ (employees × workdays) × 100
