Formula and method

Reading for 30 minutes daily at 0.5 pages per minute (2 minutes per page) completes 15 pages per day. At 300 pages per book, this is 18.2625 book-equivalents over a fixed 365.25-day year.

Pages per day = daily minutes × pages per minute; with a word rate, pages per day = daily minutes × words per minute ÷ words per page

Common questions

Does a fractional book mean a completed book?

No. It is a book-equivalent based on the average pages per book. Actual completed books depend on their lengths and your starting progress. The estimate assumes the same reading time every day.

How should I enter daily reading time?

The default field uses hours:minutes. Enter 0:30 for half an hour. The yearly projection uses 365.25 days and does not skip weekends or holidays.
