Formula and method
Current assets of 150,000 and current liabilities of 100,000 give a current ratio of 1.5.
Current ratio = current assets / current liabilities
Worked example
Enter these known values and leave the other values blank.
- Current assets
- 150000 USD
- Current liabilities
- 100000 USD
- Current ratio
- 1.5
Assumptions and limitations
- Use current assets and current liabilities from the same reporting date and accounting basis.
- Assets and ratio may be zero; liabilities must be positive for a finite ratio. Zero liabilities do not imply a finite ratio of zero.
- The ratio alone does not establish financial health. Inventory quality, collection timing and industry context also matter.
- Use the same currency for comparable inputs. Currency selectors use the captured October 7, 2026 exchange-rate snapshot, not current market rates.
Common questions
Is this the quick ratio?
No. The current ratio includes all current assets; the quick ratio excludes specified less-liquid assets.
References
Bookify validates nonnegative current assets and ratio, with a strictly positive liability denominator.
