Formula and method
At an illustrative six layers per mL, a 10 mL product applied in two layers gives 30 applications. Used once daily and priced at 30, it lasts 30 days at a cost of 1 per application.
Applications = layers per volume × product volume / layers per application; days = applications / daily frequency

Assumptions and limitations
- Product-type efficiencies are retained illustrative estimates. Actual applicator size, coverage and product behavior vary; choose the custom option for your own measured efficiency.
- Fractional applications and durations are mathematical estimates. The calculation assumes the full entered volume is usable without residue or spillage.
- Replacement spending assumes repeated purchase at the same price and usage rate. The default annual output uses a 365.25-day year.
- Supply duration is not an expiration date or a product safety limit. Packaging instructions and usable shelf life are separate from how quickly the modeled volume is consumed.
- Volume and efficiency use reciprocal unit conversion. Check the displayed volume unit when entering a custom number of layers per mL or per US fluid ounce.
Common questions
Why does annual spending differ from the bottle price?
The annual output repeats the same purchase as often as the modeled usage requires. A bottle lasting 30 days is replaced more than twelve times in a 365.25-day year.
References
Bookify permits zero product prices and zero costs per use or replacement period. The US fluid ounce uses one 128th of the exact US liquid gallon, replacing the rounded captured reciprocal factor.
