How to use this calculator
- Enter the known values in the units shown. Results update as you type.
- Where results are editable, change one to solve backwards. Lock a value to hold it fixed.
- Use the worked example to check the method. Reset restores the starting fields.
Use the result with context
Results are estimates for planning and education. Confirm rates, taxes, fees, and legal requirements with the relevant institution or a qualified professional before making a financial decision.
Formula and method
Assets of 150 thousand less liabilities of 40 thousand give asset-based value of 110 thousand.
Asset value = assets − liabilities; market value = price × shares; multiple value = metric × multiple.
Worked example
Enter these known values and leave the other values blank.

Assumptions and limitations
- Money amounts in this model default to thousands of the selected currency, except price per share. Check the scale selector before entering amounts.
- The cash-flow mode discounts n equal annual cash flows and adds one extra cash flow at year n as terminal value. It is not a perpetual-growth DCF model.
- The hidden industry-multiple list is an undated capture; enter and independently justify your own multiple rather than using it as a current benchmark.
- Use positive whole periods and a positive discount rate in DCF mode. Enterprise and equity multiples require consistent metrics and debt treatment.
- Amounts use a single consistent currency. Currency selector conversion factors are a captured static snapshot; they are not current FX quotes.
- Clear the unknown field before solving an inverse. Locks keep known values fixed; contradictory locked values require correction.
- Domain review limits calculations to the documented finite scenario; original captured equations, inverses and unit options are retained.
Common questions
How should I interpret the example?
Assets of 150 thousand less liabilities of 40 thousand give asset-based value of 110 thousand.
References
Require the documented finite model domain. Use a whole number of projection periods. Use a positive discount rate. Integer membership is checked with isInteger, so ordinary, tiny and large fractional counts are rejected even when tolerant floor equality would pass.
