Formula and method

100°C equals 212°F, 373.15 K and 671.67°R.

°F = 9°C/5 + 32; K = °C + 273.15; historical scales use their defined affine relationships.

Assumptions and limitations

  • Arithmetic uses 64 significant decimal digits. Displayed values are rounded separately.
  • Each field represents the same quantity in its selected units; enter one known value to calculate its equivalents.
  • These are absolute-temperature scales. A temperature difference uses scale ratios without absolute-temperature offsets.
  • The model rejects values below absolute zero in the shared Celsius reference. Historical scales use their captured defined mappings.

Common questions

Is a 10°C increase a 50°F increase?

No. A temperature interval of 10°C equals 18°F. Converting the absolute temperature 10°C instead gives 50°F.
