How can I import a recipe from a website?

Paste a public recipe-page URL to read its Recipe JSON-LD. Select a recipe and review its name, servings, ingredient amounts, units and steps before saving. You can also paste JSON-LD or enter a recipe manually. Login pages, access challenges, pages requiring scripts and IPv6-only sites may be unsupported; nothing is saved until you review it.

Is this tool free, and are my files uploaded?

This tool is free with no account required. Recipes, plans and backups stay in your browser. When you use website import, the public recipe URL is sent to Bookify so it can read the page without your login cookies. Pasted recipe data is parsed locally; saved recipes are not uploaded.

What are the limits and details?

One local collection with 200 recipes, 1,000 fresh meals, 200 prep batches and 20 cooking sessions. Each recipe supports 100 ingredients and 100 steps; backups are limited to 10 MB. Grocery snapshots allow 2,000 rows across up to 91 days. Imports read public HTTP/HTTPS pages up to 2 MB and extract Recipe JSON-LD, with manual review required. No accounts, sync, nutrition analysis, food-safety assessment, automatic pantry deduction or background alarms.

Unknown quantities remain unspecified. Review imported units and servings. Grocery lists, prep batches and cooking sessions are saved snapshots. Keep backups; website imports send the public URL to Bookify.
