How do I save an editable whiteboard with its images?

Use shapes, arrows, text and freehand tools, then attach a local PNG, JPEG or WebP image. Save an editable project to include the drawing and its image data in one file. Reopen that project later, or download a PNG or SVG for sharing.

Save a project before leaving: automatic cloud storage and collaboration are not included. Attachments are local raster images; new images are normalized to PNG within 2,400 pixels per side. Embedded websites and external image URLs are unsupported. SVG text uses fonts installed on the viewing device, while PNG preserves the rendered appearance. Excalidraw projects are supported; Draw.io XML is not.

Limits: 1,500 elements, 40,000 stroke points and 28 MB per project. Up to 50 embedded images, 8 MB and 20 megapixels each. PNG output is bounded to 4,000 pixels per side and eight megapixels.
