Does transposing an ABC tune preserve its rhythm?

The transposer shifts pitches and the key signature while preserving the tune’s rhythmic notation. Choose a destination tonic and the nearest, upward, or downward direction, then review the score and rewritten ABC. The source key’s mode is retained.

What are the limits and details?

One pitched ABC tune is supported. Enharmonic spelling is chosen by the notation library, so an equivalent sharp or flat tonic may be used. Review accidentals, chords, and parser warnings; percussion or keyless scores cannot be transposed this way.

Limits: one tune, 10,000 ABC characters, 400 lines, and 1,000 rendered notes. Audio preview uses a local synthesizer and plays up to two minutes at a time.
