Chart Specification Playground
Edit a Vega-Lite chart in JSON. Preview changes, check errors and download the chart as SVG or its settings as JSON.
Can I preview a Vega-Lite chart without sending my data to a server?
Yes. Paste a specification with inline data.values, render it locally, and inspect the generated SVG. Automatic preview rerenders after you finish typing. Errors stay beside the editor, and you can cancel processing or download the validated specification and chart.
A specification. A picture.
Local Vega-LiteUse inline data.values and static marks, layers or facets. Set explicit pixel dimensions. Remote data, images, selection bindings, generated sequences and lookup joins are disabled.
Expressions use the Vega interpreter in a worker. Cancel stops the worker; processing also stops after 30 seconds. Previews are static SVG snapshots.

What are the limits and details?
This renders static SVG snapshots from a bounded subset of Vega-Lite. Remote data, images, external style resources, selection bindings, sequence generation, lookup, pivot, fold and repeat are disabled. Use explicit pixel dimensions; very large faceted outputs are rejected.
Limits: 500,000 specification characters, 10,000 inline rows, twelve marks, 30 seconds of processing and a bounded SVG canvas.
